Then onwards to Rutherglen. The first stop is a local favourite - Valentines Bakery - for coffee, tea, and delicious morning treats.
It's time to explore the Rutherglen Loops: 48 km of mostly sealed, low-traffic cycling paths. Rutherglen is a vibrant village renowned for its world-class wines, fine dining, artisan stores, and rich gold rush history.
Each cyclist will receive a digital or hard copy trail map, so you can choose your own adventure, perhaps a ride out to a local winery, a peaceful detour to the iconic River Red Gums of Lake Moodemere, or a leisurely roll along the Murray River.
You'll find plenty of great options for lunch, from winery restaurants to cosy cafés and historic country hotels. If you'd like to purchase wine during your ride, they'll collect and store your bottles safely on the tour bus.
At the end of the day, they'll meet at the Rutherglen Visitor Information Centre around 4:30 pm and return you to your accommodation.
