AV Cycling Tours provides supported multi-day and single day cycling tours in Victoria's High Country, the Upper Murray, and Snowy Mountains in New South Wales.

Journey through sub-alpine valleys, pristine river rides, and idyllic villages. You'll get to see the lovely regional towns on the various tours including Beechworth, Yackandandah, Rutherglen, Corryong, Benalla, Glenrowan, Whitfield, Milawa gourmet region, Tumut, and Tumbarumba.

The Silo Art Trail tour will take you from Tungamah to Goorambat with four major silo art installations, a guided Street Art tour in Benalla, and a visit to Glenrowan following Ned Kelly's trail. The Rutherglen Golden Canola Tour is timed to catch North-East Victoria in full spring colour. Comfortable motel accommodation included.

Much of the cycling is on traffic-free scenic rail trails such as Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, High-Country Rail Trail, and Tumbarumba to Rosewood Rail Trail. Other traffic-free tracks include the Rutherglen Loops, the Mulwala to Corowa Cycle Trail, and quiet back roads.

Multiday tours are available in Spring and Autumn on set dates, and single day tours are available on demand. E-bikes and helmets are available for hire. AV Cycling tours cater to groups of four to 10 people. A cyclist and bike shuttle service is available from Albury Wodonga to sections of the High-Country Rail Trail, Murray to Mountains Rail Trail (Beechworth, Rutherglen) and the Mulwala Corowa Cycle Trail.

Based in the country town of Corryong, you will explore the surrounding valleys and trails, visiting Biggara, Thowgla, Tumbarumba, Rosewood, Tintaldra, Towong, Tallangatta, and finishing up in Bonegilla. Each day includes a mix of quiet backroads, rail trails, scenic lookouts, and a few country bakeries and hotels along the way. With plenty of time to take it all in, this trip is all about good rides, good company, and a few stories over a meal at the end of the day.

You will be collected from your accommodation at 8:00 am before taking a short drive to the Wagirra Trail - a scenic 12 km riverside ride along a sealed, traffic-free cycle path following the beautiful Murray River. Then onwards to Rutherglen. The first stop is a local favourite – Valentines Bakery – for coffee, tea, and delicious morning treats. It's time to explore the Rutherglen Loops: 48 km of mostly sealed, low-traffic cycling paths. Rutherglen is a vibrant village renowned for its world-class wines, fine dining, artisan stores, and rich gold rush history. Each cyclist will receive a digital or hard copy trail map, so you can choose your own adventure, perhaps a ride out to a local winery, a peaceful detour to the iconic River Red Gums of Lake Moodemere, or a leisurely roll along the Murray River. You'll find plenty of great options for lunch, from winery restaurants to cosy cafés and historic country hotels. If you'd like to purchase wine during your ride, they'll collect and store your bottles safely on the tour bus. At the end of the day, they'll meet at the Rutherglen Visitor Information Centre around 4:30 pm and return you to your accommodation.

They will collect you from your accommodation at 8:00 am, then take a scenic drive to Everton Station along the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail. Your adventure begins with a relaxed 15 kilometre traffic-free ride along the sealed rail trail, weaving through shady forests, vineyards, and rolling farmland. Next stop Beechworth for coffee, tea, and some delicious local treats before continuing onto the Beechworth to Yackandandah Rail Trail, a stunning 31 kilometres ride that showcases the region's natural beauty. In Yackandandah, lunch at Yackandandah Hotel, then take some time to wander this charming village, known for its arts, music culture, and heritage streetscape. Afterwards, you will get back on the bikes for a leisurely 6.5 kilometre ride along the Osbornes Flat Cycle Trail, before rejoining the tour bus for a short 21 kilometre transfer to one of the highlights of the day: the iconic Sandy Creek Bridge. This striking replica of the original rail bridge is now a smooth cycleway, stretching across the waters of Lake Hume and leading you into Bonegilla, where our cycling tour concludes around 4:30 pm. Finally, you will return to your accommodation, after a truly memorable day of cycling, scenery, and historic towns.

They will pick you up from your Albury/Wodonga accommodation at 8:00 AM before transferring by bus (80 kilometres) to Shelley Station, the eastern gateway to the High Country Rail Trail. At 781 metres above sea level, Shelley was once Victoria's highest railway station. From here, you'll enjoy a spectacular 28 kilometres downhill ride on traffic-free packed gravel rail trail, winding through towering forests, alongside mountain streams, and across impressive multi-level wooden trestle bridges. Once on the valley floor, the riding is easy and scenic, with another 15 kilometres into Tallangatta, where you can stop for lunch at either a cosy café or a local bakery. In the afternoon, you will pedal across the iconic Sandy Creek Bridge, stretching over the waters of Lake Hume, before continuing on to Bonegilla, where your ride concludes. At the end of the day, they will load up the bikes, hop back on the bus, and return you to your accommodation after a truly unforgettable cycling adventure country rail trail.
