The festival is now in it's 29th year.
A three day festival offering seven performance spaces, a 600 seat marquee, and small intimate venues including a 120 year old church with sensational acoustics and intimate seating for 80 people. Buskers will entertain on High Street on Saturday and Sunday. An Emeging Artists Stage in High St acts as the venue for the Friday night free Bush Dance and also hosts and encourages youth performers all weekend in safe, welcoming environment, providing many with their first taste of live performance. A Friday night Street Parade, featuring children from all surrounding schools, plus, a brass band.
Join in to support local, interstate and international artists who make their way to regional Victoria to take part in this fantastic festival. Yackandandah Folk Festival is now the greenest festival in the country. In conjunction with TRY (Totally Renewable Yackandandah) the festival has now funded solar panels into the community generating eight times more power than what is used over the festival weekend. The green team sort all of the waste and the last completed festival sent only five bins to landfill with the remainder recycled or composted - not bad for 2500 visitors over three days.
