Mountaingrass presents concert performances by Bluegrass and Traditional Old-time music from acts from the United States, NZ and Australia and sometimes Japan.
Mountaingrass is a very participative event: it features instrument workshops for all levels of ability from beginners to advanced led by seasoned performers; guided slow jam sessions; a Sunday morning Gospel Concert and some purely acoustic (unamplified) intimate concerts. There is also a luthiers display and sales and lots of opportunities for everyone to join in picking and jamming sessions.
Secondary concerts and workshops will be held at the Senior Citizens Centre and Courthouse Theatre. Please check the event website for details.
